Been Worshipping GOD lately?????

GOD.......Generator Operator Destroyer.....almost every person on this earth believes in the existence of the master, everyone believes in his supremacy, that he is Omnicient,Omnipotent and Omni present,He has given us this wonderful gift of life and we should express our gratitude to him for that, and this makes us worship the Almighty...isnt it???.Prayers are the most common n followed form of worship especially in Hindus, and people claim that they pray to show their respect for GOD.....but really is this the real fact????...

The fact is that worshipping has become more of a job rather than something really done to express our gratitude to the master. With the course of time people have forgotten that offering flowers or prasad is not the main point of worshipping but it is to thank him, make a humble bow to him and to search the divine soul within ours. This involves putting GOD above selfishness and ego,the two major vices most common in humans, but do we really do that????most of us,if answer truthfully will say no!Because in todays materialistic world, the truth is,we pray just to fulfill our dreams, our wishe, every thing we aspire for.We blindly tend to follow what seems to be the easiest way to please the almighty,go to a temple, offer flowers, chant a few mantras and take prasad...and we're done!!
We are no longer worshipping him but it is just a process of appeasement! So simple and it has an added advantage that one can boast of being a theist!!But in the process arent we disrespecting him by not using the greatest gifts he has given to us....our brain and our heart????

If we give a second to think about what we are doing we may find answers. Why would GOD be happy if we offer flowers in a temple???...He has created this world, owns everything,he has put flowers in their place beacuase he likes them that way so why would he be happy if we pluck a bunch of flowers and place in front of a deity???No one cares to bother to ponder about it!!And if we see the bigger picture...by claiming or believing that GOD becomes happy with those who follow rituals, recite mantras,go to temple...ask yourself one question.... arent we insulting GOD by having such materialistic notions for him such as he is happy with ones who offer him something and not with those who respect him but do not follow rituals or go to temple????...it is equivalent to calling him a trader!..What we continuously overlook is the fact that the Almighty is not a human,he is much more powerful and divine away from the materialistic weeknesses we humans have!

After scratching our heads i am sure everyone will hav the answers....it is not necessary to offer flowers in a temple, if u seriously want to offer something offer good karma! There is no need to take a bath before you pray,if u want to maintain purity,be it of the soul.U dont need to fast every week, dont stay away from food,if u have to fast for him,try staying away from selfishness and ego for one day each week instead!U dont need to build and decorate temples,if u want to decorate something decorate mother nature, the real representation of the almighty!U dont need to recite mantras, preach humanity instead!U dont need to offer anything to GOD,he has everything u can give, try helping out others instead!Everone of us has read Bhagwat geeta, when asked everyone seems to respect it and people read it now and again trying to worship! But no one cares what's written inside....it is karma kar fal ki icchha mat kar...do ur best forgest the rest maybe an informal translation!Arent we directly contradicting this statement by GOD himslef by worshipping with an ichha of fal without having to do the real karma!!

After all this pondering, people might think that it is correct and everyone might tend to agree. But people do have a core and shell in their hearts, the core always knows what is correct but it is draped in the curtains of selfishness and ego and the shell refuses to change....perhaps this is kalyuga!
so have you been worshipping GOD lately?????....do ask yourself!
P.S. i have used he/him for GOD everywhere but it was just because 'it' sounds bad!
